EMI Technology’s process targets Chlorine. By removing the Chlorine, we eliminate the salt molecule. By doing that, we eliminate the toxic waste stream. Nothing is released back into the environment and we cause no harm to the ecosystem.
Reverse Osmosis & Distillation both produce a toxic waste stream during the desalination processes which is sent back into the ocean or pumped into deep injection wells causing damage to the environment.
EMI Technology’s desalination process does not rely on high pressure or high temperatures to operate. Other desalination systems operate at extremely high pressures requiring thousands of feet of very expensive stainless steel piping. Our process employees fiberglass and plastic piping which reduces construction cost substantially and leaves behind a significantly smaller carbon footprint.
There are hundreds of organizations around the world trying to improve the way water is being treated and desalinated. As part of our due diligence, we make every effort to assess what is happening with other technologies, globally. With our patented and proprietary desalination system, we are not trying to filter out salt molecules. Salt molecules are huge by filtration standards and stop up membranes very quickly. The membranes are very difficult to clean and the cleaning process itself it extraordinarily toxic. EMI Technology does not have that problem.
