Jeff has almost 40 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and strategic business management. He earned his degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech. His career began in electronics and process control for refineries, gas, and nuclear plants, where he gained experience in nuclear engineering. He later transitioned to communications work for the federal government and then into the fire service, where he developed the first incident pre-planning software and invented groundbreaking pump operations and testing equipment that recirculates water instead of wasting it—technologies that are now part of billion-dollar industries. As the founder of FD International, Jeff’s innovations have had a global impact. His pump operations simulators are estimated to have saved nearly a trillion gallons of water worldwide, reflecting his commitment to solving water scarcity issues and advancing environmentally sustainable technologies. Under his leadership, the company has become a recognized leader in the industry, known for innovative solutions.
Over the past several years, Jeff has channeled his expertise and innovative mindset into developing a groundbreaking technology for water desalination. Recognizing the growing global need for sustainable water solutions, he has worked tirelessly to design and refine this technology, which leverages advanced electrical control mechanisms to efficiently remove salt from salt water. His work in this area not only aims to address critical water scarcity issues but also exemplifies his commitment to environmental sustainability and technological advancement.

Wyn E. Clifton, Phd
President | Co-Founder
Wyn is a versatile research scientist with a track record of enhancing technological systems through collaboration with engineering teams. While earning her PhD from the University of Texas at Arlington, a prestigious tier 1 institution, she led a large lab that conducted cutting-edge research with the UTA Research Institute that was funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) . Her personal work on neurocognition, reinforcement learning, and quick decision-making contributed to this large-scale, multi-lab project, which ultimately led to patented advancements in computer learning algorithms and controller software.
As the chief scientist developing this new eco-friendly approach to desalination, her leadership and adaptability have been instrumental. Wyn’s interdisciplinary expertise makes her a versatile asset. Known for being a creative thinker with a knack for generating innovative ideas, she has successfully expanded her knowledge and skills in the course of the project. Her scientific insights have been pivotal in taking this project from conception to working model.

John Paul DeJoria
Mr. DeJoria, renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist, is the co-founder of Patron Spirits and Paul Mitchell Hair Systems. John Paul is passionate about saving the planet and reducing water scarcity. John Paul DeJoria is a founding shareholder and investor in EMI Technology.

Michael G. Fletcher
Mr. Fletcher is a lifelong entrepreneur with investment and operational experience in manufacturing, media, and sustainability focused businesses. His global experience will be leveraged as Michael serves as the executive chairman of EMI. Michael Fletcher is a founding shareholder and investor in EMI Technology, alongside John Paul DeJoria.
