After earning his electrical engineering degree from Texas Tech University, Jeff built a career specializing in electricity, electronics, and process control, working in refineries as well as gas and nuclear power plants. During this time, he developed software for water treatment processes in these facilities. In 2004, Jeff founded Fire Department International, a Texas-based company that provides consulting, training, and equipment manufacturing. He developed patented training simulators that have saved billions of gallons of water worldwide by optimizing water use during firefighter training. Under his leadership, the company has become a recognized leader in the industry, known for innovative solutions and high-quality training programs. As a successful businessman, Jeff has grown Fire Department International into a thriving enterprise with a global impact.

His extensive experience has given him a profound understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and strategic business management. Over the past several years, Jeff has channeled his expertise and innovative mindset into developing a groundbreaking technology for water desalination. Recognizing the growing global need for sustainable water solutions, he has worked tirelessly to design and refine this technology, which leverages advanced electrical control mechanisms to efficiently remove salt from salt water. Wyn E. Clifton, Phd

Founder / Chief Science Officer

Wyn E. Clifton is a seasoned research scientist with a distinguished history of collaborating with engineering teams to enhance technological systems. She earned her PhD from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), a prestigious tier 1 institution, where she conducted collaborative research with the UTA Research Institute (UTARI) that was funded by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the National Science Foundation (NSF). Her research on reinforcement learning and quick decisions contributed to this large-scale, multi-lab project, which ultimately led to patented improvements in computer learning algorithms and control software through the integration of human cognition and emotion neural network models.

Wyn’s interdisciplinary expertise makes her a versatile asset in diverse research settings. Known for being a creative thinker with a knack for generating innovative ideas, she has successfully expanded her knowledge and skills over the past seven years as the chief scientist on this cutting-edge water desalination project. Her research and scientific insights have been pivotal in taking this project from conception to working model, demonstrating her adaptability and leadership in new scientific domains.
